Si les Lions et les Coyotes sont d'ores et déjà assurés de disputer les demi-finale, cette saison 2016/2017 est déjà historique. En effet, les ALFA Lions verront pour la première fois de leur courte histoire les phases finales du championnat de France. Hawks Of Old Dent Cockerels Finals Hopes

The good, old-fashioned local derby appeared in Toulouse on the weekend with a double-header featuring both Toulouse teams facing both Paris teams. In a sense it was a battle of the split teams with the Blagnac Aviators growing from the depth of the Toulouse Hawks and the Paris Cockatoos being brought to life in a similar way from the depth of the Paris Cockerels.

Lions And Coyotes Heading The Field

Weekend victories to the ALFA Lions from Lyon and the Cergy-Pontoise Coyotes has seen the two top placed teams clear further away from the field as the CNFA finals get closer. Only three more rounds remain for teams to sort themselves into a final order but it looks likely now that both the Lions and Coyotes have booked their finals tickets and the remaining questions will revolve around which teams take third and fourth place.

Costly Loss For Tigers

The ASP Perpignan Tigers have let an opportunity to secure a finals berth slip last weekend when they went down to the visiting Paris Cockatoos. The result was a big thumping – Cockatoos 170 d Tigers 45 – which saw the Tigers drop out of the top four. Their percentage has also taken a big hit, meaning they will have to win both of their remaining games.

Blagnac Aviators’ Maiden Victory

It took until their second match in the CNFA competition, but the league’s newest team, the Blagnac Aviators have tasted their first victory in the national league downing their Toulouse neighbours, the Toulouse Hawks, in the inaugural Toulouse Derby.

Les Paris Cocks remportent la Coupe de France 2016,  faisant tomber les Bordeaux Bombers lors de la finale. L’événement a été accueilli par les Perpignan Tigers au Stade Daniel Ambert de Pia, dans la banlieue de la métropole de Perpignan.

Les Lions rugissent en direction des finales!!!

Peut-être que c'est un peu prématuré, mais les ALFA Lions se sont peut être mis sur le chemin de la grande finale cette année en battant à Paris ce week-end les vainqueurs de l' année dernière, les Paris Cockatoos. Cela fait fait trois victoires depuis le début de saison pour les Lions qui restent invaincus et les placent  au sommet du classement du CNFA.
